We’ll be closed from Friday, 20th December and reopen on Monday, 6th January 2025. Merry Christmas!

Rachael is a warm, down-to-earth Registered Counsellor who brings a rich and diverse background to her therapeutic work. Originally from the UK, Rachael trained and worked as a Registered Nurse before spending over a year backpacking around the world—an experience that deepened her appreciation for people, culture, and human resilience. After settling in Australia, she continued her career as a rural Registered Nurse before transitioning into the wellbeing space, establishing her own Equine Assisted Therapy practice.
At Ararat Wellness, Rachael offers in-person and telehealth counselling for children, teens, and adults. Her approach is grounded, compassionate, and practical, focusing on creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel genuinely heard and understood. Rachael brings particular experience in anxiety, stress, grief and loss, trauma, and supporting neurodivergent young people and their families. She values helping clients reconnect with their strengths, build emotional resilience, and develop meaningful, lasting change.
Working with Ararat Wellness allows Rachael to expand her passion for counselling within a collaborative, holistic health community.
Outside the therapy room, Rachael lives on her farm where she enjoys time with her horses, dogs, and the peacefulness of rural life. She loves going to the gym, travelling, and embracing the adventures and connections that life continues to offer.
