Operations Manager
Erin Mahmud is the General Manager of Ararat Wellness and a Behaviour Support Practitioner with a strong commitment to improving the lives of people with disability across regional Victoria. Erin brings together clinical knowledge, operational leadership, and lived experience to create services that are compassionate, practical, and truly person-centred.
With extensive experience working within the NDIS sector, Erin specialises in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), helping individuals, families, and support teams understand behaviour as communication and develop strategies that improve quality of life. Her work focuses on reducing restrictive practices, strengthening support environments, and empowering people to build meaningful skills and independence.
As General Manager, Erin leads the strategic direction and daily operations of Ararat Wellness, ensuring the organisation maintains high standards of quality, compliance, and ethical practice. She is passionate about developing strong teams, supporting practitioner growth, and building services that meet the unique needs of regional communities.
Erin is also deeply committed to neurodiversity-affirming practice. As an autistic professional herself, she brings valuable insight into sensory needs, communication differences, and the importance of creating environments where people feel understood and supported.
Through her work at Ararat Wellness, Erin continues to advocate for accessible services, inclusive communities, and behaviour support that respects dignity, autonomy, and individual strengths.
