Emily is a passionate and dedicated Behaviour Support Practitioner with 18 years of experience in the disability sector. Her extensive experience provides her with a unique and invaluable perspective, enabling her to offer empathetic, tailored support. She uses a person-centred and strengths-based approach, focusing on creating positive, lasting change for individuals and families. Emily is committed to helping build independence and achieve meaningful goals.
Currently pursuing her Bachelor of Social Science with a major in Behaviour, Emily combines her academic knowledge with extensive hands-on experience. She has worked in registered service settings, providing support in Supported Disability Accommodation (SDA), Short-Term Respite (STR), and individual support. Her diverse background includes roles in support work, leadership, and operations management, equipping her with a well-rounded understanding of behaviour support in real-life contexts. Emily has supported individuals across various age groups with trauma histories, ADHD, ASD, intellectual disabilities, and complex behaviours.
With a calm, approachable demeanour and genuine warmth, Emily is relatable and effectively connects with clients and their families.
