Donna Harris is a qualified Social Worker and Behaviour Support Practitioner with extensive experience across mental health, hospital, aged care and community services. Much of Donna’s career has been dedicated to mental health practice in rural and regional communities across Australia, supporting individuals experiencing complex challenges, trauma and significant life changes.
She has held senior clinical roles within multidisciplinary health teams, delivering comprehensive assessments, crisis intervention, risk management and therapeutic support. Donna has worked with individuals across the lifespan and collaborates closely with families, health professionals and community services to coordinate care and improve outcomes for people navigating complex support systems.
Donna is a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) and is currently expanding her practice into Behaviour Support. She brings a trauma-informed, strengths-based and recovery-oriented approach to behaviour support practice. Her experience delivering Duluth Model behavioural change programs has strengthened her understanding of behaviour, safety and the development of practical strategies that support sustainable positive change.
Donna has also contributed to clinical supervision, student mentoring and service development initiatives within rural health services. Alongside her clinical work, she has undertaken studies in Business Administration and Life Coaching, which support her leadership, mentoring and strengths-based approach when working with individuals and teams.
Recently relocating to Mildura, Donna values the importance of connection within regional communities. She believes that alongside clinical knowledge, qualities such as empathy, respect and genuine care are central to building trust and supporting people to achieve meaningful change.
In her role as a Behaviour Support Practitioner, Donna works collaboratively with participants, families and support teams to develop Support Plans that build capacity, promote safety and enhance quality of life.
